EURO 2028 venues: all stadiums and host cities
EURO 2028 will use nine stadiums in eight cities across England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. London has two venues. Cardiff stages the opening match, four cities host quarter-finals, and Wembley stages both semi-finals and the final.

EURO 2028 stadium map guide
The venues form three practical travel zones: London and southern Britain; the English Midlands and North; and Glasgow/Dublin. Most teams will move between stadiums during the group stage, so supporters following a team should wait for the final draw before choosing a travel base.

UEFA uses clean tournament names for some sponsored stadiums. National Stadium of Wales is commonly known as Principality Stadium; Manchester City Stadium as the Etihad Stadium; Everton Stadium as Hill Dickinson Stadium; and Dublin Arena as Aviva Stadium.
Wembley Stadium, London
Role: four group games, one quarter-final, both semi-finals and the final.
Wembley is the tournament’s decisive venue and the largest stadium in the schedule. If England qualifies directly, it would play its second and third group matches here. Wembley does not host a round-of-16 match.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
Role: four group games and one round-of-16 match.
Tottenham covers four different groups, making it one of the strongest London venues for variety. Northern Ireland would play its first group-head match here if it qualifies in time for the draw.

National Stadium of Wales, Cardiff
Role: four group games including the tournament opener, one round-of-16 match and one quarter-final.
The city-centre stadium opens EURO 2028 on Friday 9 June. If Wales qualifies directly, it is assigned the Group A head position and would play all three group matches in Cardiff.

If England qualifies directly, its opening Group B match is scheduled in Manchester on 10 June. Across the group phase, the stadium will show teams from four different groups.

Everton Stadium, Liverpool
Role: four group games and one round-of-16 match.
The newest stadium in the tournament sits on Liverpool’s waterfront at Bramley-Moore Dock. It stages four different groups but no quarter-final.

St James’ Park, Newcastle
Role: four group games and one round-of-16 match.
St James’ Park is the most central English venue outside London. If England wins Group B after qualifying, its round-of-16 match would be played here on 25 June.

Villa Park, Birmingham
Role: three group games and one round-of-16 match.
Villa Park has the smallest match programme of the nine venues but covers three groups and one knockout fixture. Northern Ireland’s proposed group-head route includes a match here if it qualifies.

Hampden Park, Glasgow

If Scotland qualifies directly, it would play all three of its Group F matches at Hampden. The venue also hosts a Group A game and one of the tournament’s four quarter-finals.

Best city to use as a base
- London: best for the largest number of matches and all of final week.
- Birmingham: useful rail position for London, Manchester and its own fixtures.
- Manchester or Liverpool: strong two-city combination, but matchday rail capacity will be busy.
- Cardiff: ideal for Wales followers and the opening match, but less central for northern venues.
- Glasgow or Dublin: necessary for following Scotland or the Republic of Ireland’s group-head schedule.
No base works for every team before the draw. Most teams will play across three stadiums, so refundable accommodation is safer than committing to one city.
