Overview

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is the only motorsport certified carbon neutral from its inception, and the first all-electric world championship recognised by the FIA. The 2026 season — Season 12 — concludes in London with a double-header that crowns the World Champion.
London’s race has a distinctive identity: a hybrid circuit running both inside and outside ExCeL’s exhibition halls, making it the only indoor circuit used at world-championship level anywhere in motorsport.

⚡ The last London E-Prix at ExCeL
Formula E’s new Gen4 car — over 800bhp and 87kg heavier than its predecessor — can’t be raced on the tight ExCeL circuit. The championship has confirmed London’s race moves to Brands Hatch in Kent, with the first race there set for 29-30 May 2027 — meaning the 15-16 August 2026 race is the final E-Prix at this iconic venue.

The Venue

Formula E has raced at ExCeL London, Royal Victoria Dock, since the 2020/21 season — its third London venue after two years at Battersea Park (2015-16). The circuit starts indoors on a smooth, high-grip surface before heading outside onto abrasive dockside tarmac, creating one of the most technical, varied tracks anywhere on the calendar.
