Chigwell Construction Stadium, also commonly known as Victoria Road, is the home of Dagenham & Redbridge FC and a key non-league football venue in East London. With a capacity of around 6,000, the stadium offers an intimate, traditional football experience that puts supporters close to the pitch and the action.
Primarily hosting National League football, the ground also stages cup competitions, women’s fixtures, youth matches, and community events. Its compact layout, vocal home support, and strong ties to the local area make it a respected venue within London’s grassroots and semi-professional football scene.
The stadium has been Dagenham & Redbridge’s home since 1996, following the merger of Dagenham FC and Redbridge Forest. The newly formed club moved into the ground to establish a permanent base capable of supporting ambitions beyond non-league football.
Formerly known as the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium and later the Victoria Road Stadium, the venue has seen steady development over the years. Improvements to stands, floodlighting, and facilities accompanied the club’s rise through the football pyramid.
The stadium reached national attention during Dagenham & Redbridge’s time in the Football League (2010–2016), when it hosted League Two fixtures against clubs from across England. Although the club now competes outside the EFL, the stadium remains an important symbol of its professional-era achievements and ongoing ambition.
