Twickenham Stoop stands — at a glance

Stand View Atmosphere Best for
West Stand

★★★★★ ★★★★ Best all-round view and facilities
East Stand
Touchline, family side
★★★★★ ★★★★ Same view, best for children
South Stand
Behind the posts
★★★ ★★★★ Value, best bar in the ground
North Stand
Behind the posts
★★★ ★★★★ Intimacy — but mind the pillars
💡 View and atmosphere ratings are SportsPass London’s own editorial judgement, applying the same touchline-versus-end convention we use on our Twickenham Stadium map next door. Stand layout and facilities come from Harlequins’ own matchday map. Stand sponsor names change from season to season — the compass names are what stay constant, so those are what we use here.
⚡ The Stoop shares a corner of Twickenham with the far larger national stadium next door. If your ticket is for an England international rather than a Harlequins match, you want our Twickenham Stadium seating guide instead — different ground, different entrances, completely different scale.

Stand-by-stand breakdown

01 · West Stand

Best overall

Main stand · Full touchline · Members’ Bar & club shop
The West Stand is the main stand, running the full length of the touchline. It holds the changing rooms, executive boxes, the Members’ Bar, the club offices and a club shop, and gives the most balanced view of the pitch in the ground. Side-on is where rugby makes the most sense: you can see the width available, how the defence is drifting and whether that overlap out wide is genuinely on.

💡 The best seats at the Stoop — full touchline view plus the best facilities.
02 · East Stand

Best for families

Opposite touchline · Mighty Quins Village · Public bar
The East Stand sits opposite the main stand and runs the full touchline, so the view of play is every bit as good. It houses corporate boxes, a public bar, the Debenture and Players’ Lounges, and the Mighty Quins Village children’s area. On the map above this stand carries its sponsor name, the DHL Stand — that branding changes between seasons, but the stand itself is simply the East Stand.

💡 As good a view as the West Stand, and the side to pick if you are bringing children.
03 · South Stand

Good value

Behind the posts · Real ale bar & club shop
The South Stand sits behind the posts at one end, with its own real ale bar and club shop. It is terrific for conversions, scrums and line-outs at your end, where you get a close, square-on look at the set piece. The trade-off is the usual one for an end: when play moves up the other end of the pitch, you lose a lot of the detail and the far touchline feels a long way away.

💡 Good value behind the posts, with the best bar in the ground.
04 · North Stand

Check for pillars

Behind the posts · Temporary structure · Fan Village behind
The North Stand sits behind the posts at the opposite end. It is a temporary structure and the smallest of the four at roughly 2,000 seats, which gives it a closer, more intimate feel than the main stands. It is also the only stand in the ground with supporting pillars, so a handful of seats sit behind one — worth checking on the club’s own plan if a clear sightline matters. Recent work has added indoor seating and better facilities, and the Fan Village sits directly behind it.

What to know before you book

⚠️
Booking the North Stand without checking the seat

It is the only stand in the ground with supporting pillars, and a small number of seats sit directly behind one. The stand is otherwise a good, intimate place to watch from — just look at the specific seat on the club’s plan first.
⚠️
Turning up at the wrong Twickenham

The Stoop and Twickenham Stadium are two different grounds side by side. They have separate entrances, so check which ground your ticket is actually for before you set off.
⚠️
Assuming stand sponsor names will match your ticket

Sponsor names on the stands change between seasons, so a name printed on an older map or an old ticket may not match what is on the signage today. The compass names — West, East, North, South — do not change.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the best seats at the Twickenham Stoop?
The two touchline stands — the West Stand and the East Stand — give the best view, because you see the full width of the pitch rather than an end-on, compressed angle. The West Stand is the main stand with the best facilities; the East Stand opposite has an equally good view and is the better side if you are bringing children.
Is there an away end at the Twickenham Stoop?
No. Premiership Rugby does not segregate supporters, so Harlequins and visiting fans sit together throughout the ground. That is standard across English club rugby, and it is a large part of why the Stoop has such a relaxed, family-friendly matchday feel.
Are there any restricted-view seats at the Stoop?
The North Stand is the one to check. It is a temporary structure and the only stand in the ground with supporting pillars, so a small number of seats sit behind one. If a completely clear sightline matters to you, check the specific seat on the club’s own plan before booking, or choose one of the other three stands.
Which stand is best if I am bringing children?
The East Stand. It houses the Mighty Quins Village, the club’s children’s area, alongside a public bar and corporate boxes — and it still gives you a full touchline view of the game, so you are not trading away the sightline to get the family facilities.
Is the Twickenham Stoop the same as Twickenham Stadium?
No — they are two separate grounds that sit side by side. The Stoop is the smaller of the two at around 14,800 and is the home of Harlequins; Twickenham Stadium next door is the far larger national stadium used for England internationals. Check which one your ticket is for, because the entrances are different.
