The Isle of Man TT 2027 takes place from 31 May to 12 June on the Snaefell Mountain Course — a 37.73-mile loop of closed public roads that winds through towns, villages, hedgerows and open mountain, completing a lap in as little as 16 minutes at the hands of the world’s fastest road racers. The TT is a racing event unlike anything else: no barriers, no run-off areas, speeds that peak above 200 mph, and a paddock where fans can get closer to teams and machinery than at virtually any other world-class motorsport event. The atmosphere across the island during TT Fortnight is one of shared passion and camaraderie between riders, fans and locals. Getting to the Isle of Man TT from London takes around 80 minutes on a direct flight from London City, Heathrow or Gatwick to Ronaldsway Airport, or around 3.5 hours by ferry from Heysham — most fans combine an evening arrival with a full week on the island. This is firmly worth leaving London for: the TT is best experienced over several days, taking in practice sessions, the sidecars, the mountain paddock and at least one of the full-length race days. Grandstand spots at Ramsey Hairpin and Creg-ny-Baa are among the most atmospheric viewing points on the course. General spectating from the mountain is free, but grandstand and paddock access tickets are available via the official Isle of Man TT site — book early, as reserved spots and paddock passes sell out months in advance of event week.
