Holmesdale Road Stand
The main home end and the best atmosphere choice. It is not the cleanest tactical view, but it is the stand to choose for noise and Palace identity.
Home of Crystal Palace Football Club
Crystal Palace’s home is a compact, old-school four-stand football ground rather than a modern bowl. The key choice is simple: go longside for the cleanest view, or choose the Holmesdale Road Stand for the loudest Palace matchday feel.

The main home end and the best atmosphere choice. It is not the cleanest tactical view, but it is the stand to choose for noise and Palace identity.
The historic longside stand. Central seats here offer one of the clearest views of the whole pitch, though comfort can feel tighter than at newer stadiums.
The opposite longside stand. It can be a strong value choice, especially closer to halfway, but be more selective near the ends.
The smaller shortside end. Useful for a compact, lower-key matchday, but not usually the first choice for view or atmosphere.
Choose central longside seats in the Main Stand or Arthur Wait Stand. These give the most balanced view of both halves and both penalty areas.
Choose the Holmesdale Road Stand. It is the loudest, most characterful part of the ground and the best fit if matchday energy matters most.
Look for Arthur Wait longside tickets that are not too close to the corner. You still get a side-on view without paying only for the most central seats.
Be cautious with corners, restricted descriptions and away-adjacent tickets. Selhurst Park is compact and older, so small position differences can change the experience.
Pick a longside seat if you want the simplest all-round view. Pick Holmesdale if you want the ground at its most recognisably Palace.
Prioritise clearer access, lower rows that are not too low, and avoid tickets described as restricted unless the seller explains the issue clearly.
The Holmesdale Road Stand is the call. It is end-on, but that trade-off is usually worth it for supporters who want the loudest area.
Go central longside. You will read team shape, pressing and substitutions far better than from behind either goal.
Selhurst, Thornton Heath and Norwood Junction are the usual rail choices. Check post-match crowding and allow extra time after full-time.
The streets around the ground are residential and compact. Arrive early, especially for evening kick-offs or high-demand fixtures.
