The EuroHockey Championships are Europe’s leading international field hockey tournament, run by the European Hockey Federation (EuroHockey) and contested separately by men’s and women’s national teams roughly every two years.
The EuroHockey Board awarded England the hosting rights on 27 September 2024. The tournament, branded EuroChamps27, runs from 28 July to 8 August 2027 and is anchored at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park — the same venue used for hockey at the London 2012 Olympics, and recognised as one of the world’s leading hockey venues.
Group-stage matches for both the men’s and women’s tournaments are played at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. The semi-finals and finals then move across London to the Twickenham Stoop, the home ground of Harlequins, giving the tournament’s biggest matches a dedicated rugby-sized stadium setting.
The tournament features 12 men’s and 12 women’s national teams from across Europe, making it the continent’s largest regular hockey championship by field size.
