🏟️ Cherry Red Records Stadium Local Guide

The Cherry Red Records Stadium, also known as Plough Lane, is a 9,300-capacity football ground in Wimbledon, South West London, and the home of AFC Wimbledon. Opened in 2020, it marked the club’s emotional return to their spiritual home after almost 30 years away. Modern, intimate, and community-focused, it’s one of the newest and most accessible football venues in the capital.

📝 History of Cherry Red Records Stadium

Plough Lane was AFC Wimbledon’s long-awaited return to their roots after reforming in 2002 following the relocation of the original Wimbledon FC. Construction began in 2019 on the site of the old greyhound stadium, just a short walk from the club’s historic home. The new ground officially opened in November 2020 and has quickly become a hub for football and community events. Sponsored by Cherry Red Records, the venue combines modern facilities with a close-knit, supporter-owned spirit that reflects the club’s journey.
